2020 is almost here. I’ve been thinking a lot about how crazy it is that it’s been 20 years since the Y2K scare (and yes I’m old enough to get weird looks from the younger kids…) and then it hit me… 2020 is a brand new decade.
Earlier this year I focused on how it’s been 10 years since my assault and embracing and celebrating all the ways I have grown since then.
2020 is going to be even more incredible. Not only have 10 years gone by but in just a week it will be totally left in the past decade. Technically it already passed when 2010 hit however the trauma didn’t hit me until later… therefore this has huge impact on my life. I’ve grown so much the past few years and this is HUGE!
The trauma will always be there but it doesn’t define me. My past doesn’t define me. I’m excited to continue to grow, heal and use my experiences to help others.
