I Got My Wings & Other Weekend Things!

Happy Monday to my followers! I had a wonderful weekend and just wanted to share some photos with you.

I’m really trying to get all my required steps in… not just because I’m trying to lose weight but because rocking to my power anthems, as I like to call them, really help my mental health.

I had a great Saturday hanging out with my partner at his parents. I even braved getting behind the wheels of one of those whatcha-call-its. Jeff had to help steer because I’m still a terrible driver. It was a good reminder of why I don’t have a license. I’ll let you just picture it!

On Sunday (yesterday) we went to our small local zoo. Visited the animals and then headed over to where they are putting up the new butterfly exhibit. You can see in the picture why I was so excited… Katie Butterfly got to try on some wings!

I messaged the family behind the new exhibit and thanked her for doing this as butterflies are my healing symbol after years of darkness. She wrote back and said that they do personal butterfly releases for people. I may take them up on that. Last summer, the library where I work, raised butterflies for their summer reading program and I got the chance to release one… it was the most incredible thing. I would love the opportunity to do it again.

That’s my weekend recap. Hope you all have a wonderful week!!

❤ Katie Butterfly
