This past weekend my hubby and I took a day trip to a local park and did a little hiking.
I haven’t done as much walking this summer as I would have liked. It’s been hot and I’ve been unmotivated.
Sometimes self care is getting out there and doing things you don’t care to do.
I had a rough past couple weeks dealing with intense mood swings and I’m not even sure how I did it but I did! I proved to myself that I am much stronger than I used to be.
Using my DBT skills has been very helpful. Using opposite emotions, distraction, breaking up the long days into tiny shifts. Taking one day at a time and dealing with only the present stuff. Not allowing my mind to travel off to far.
It’s still weird that I can automatically do the skills. I guess I’m proof that DBT works if you work it!
