Happy New Year to my followers!
2020 was certainly a crazy ride but after doing some reflecting I’ve realized it wasn’t as bad as I thought.
I spent quite a bit of time in nature. Taking walks with my partner an just enjoying the great outdoors!
My birthday tends to have a bad track record due to various traumas. But, I ended up having one of the best ones I’ve ever had. And it was just spent with loved ones. Including all the special greetings from friends through social media!
Friends surprised me with various gifts through out the year… a couple dolls from my childhood best friend, a simple surprise or two from co-workers, and a special butterfly rock painted by my Monarch Friend!
I was able to re-connect with my bonus parents and that included getting to know their daughter! We were not able to meet up in person as planned but I’m hopeful that I will be able to this year!
I learned to not take my job for granted. After being closed down for a month I was more than happy to have work again!! Changes and all…
I had the chance to improve with my paintings. As well as explore my hobby photography! I’ve mostly done doll photography and some nature ones!
I still managed to have a butterfly encounter. And how precious it was!
My partner and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary!
I got lots of kitten therapy with my family’s little Pippin!
I certainly enjoyed the chance to see friends!
And most of all… I got the chance to really spend time with my family, especially my nephew. I’ve had the opportunity to not only watch him grow older but for our relationship to blossom into something special.
So, you see my year was different but I was blessed in so many ways that I can’t possibly say it was a bad year. Pros and cons together helped me grow in so many ways!
2021 started out with some continued mental health issues but I was able to escape to my parents for a weekend. That’s a blessing in itself. In the past, going there would have been my last choice!
Here’s to a happy, healthy and healing 2021!
